The attitude of Way is an inspiration to many people

0 Comments | Western Daily Press, Jul 24, 2010 | by STEVE COTTON s

Darren Way’s whole approach to life and football – both before and since the car accident that ended his playing career – has been hugely inspiring.

The 30-year-old former Yeovil Town midfielder has never once felt sorry for himself and has shown a desire and will to succeed that I have seen in very few others – in any walk of life.

Even in the early days following that road collision – in which he was a passenger in a van while he was moving house – he sought ways to improve himself. He never wanted sympathy or tears, but positive action and ways to get better.

He left no route unexplored as he attempted to battle back to fitness, even trying to convince nurses at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol that he could wheel himself around in a wheelchair despite having one good, and one shattered, arm.

The outcome was that he found himself spinning around in endless circles, yet the subtext is that he will always challenge and push himself, regardless of what situation he is confronted by. Coaching is his current challenge – and one, like with everything else he does, he is putting everything into.

More than 6,000 people are expected to fill Huish Park today to support Way’s benefit match against a Manchester United XI – and there could not be a more deserving recipient of such an occasion.

Encouragingly for those who follow the Glovers, Way’s relatively quiet transition to a coaching role alongside his best friend and former team-mate, Terry Skiverton, is gaining rave reviews and top- class endorsements.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, who played alongside and then managed Way at Swansea City, has even backed him to make a bigger impact on the coaching side at Huish Park than he did as a player. Given that Way is, without question, one of the five greatest players in the club’s history, that is some prediction.

“Darren is a leader, a winner and an inspiration – and he is going to be very successful,” said Martinez

The Basics of Pennsylvania Auto Insurance

The Basics of Pennsylvania Auto Insurance by R Daniel Williams Jr
in Insurance / Auto (submitted 2010-06-23)

How to locate the best Pa auto insurance? Are there low-priced auto insurance companies in Pennsylvania? When comparing the Pennsylvania auto insurance quotes, what are the things to focus on? What are the minimum requirements for the Pennsylvania car insurance coverage? When you are a resident of Pennsylvania and seeking to purchase car insurance, these are the important questions that you must answer.

At any rate, to further widen your knowledge about PA auto insurance, here are its basics as well as helpful guidelines so you can obtain the right policy while also saving some cash along the way:

The no-fault car insurance bills
The territory of Pennsylvania employs a no-fault scheme in connection with vehicular accidents. Under the said scheme, your insurance company is required to compensate you for your injury claim irrespective of who is responsible for the accident that you got involved in.

On the other hand, because the no-fault ruling differs depending on the state and can be revised as years passed by, you may want to check for its most up to date version by visiting the official website of the insurance department of the administration of Pennsylvania. Through visiting the site or calling the Department of Insurance, you will also be able to get instant answers to whatever information that you want to know.

The minimum requirements for the Pa auto insurance coverage
According to the law in Pennsylvania, as a vehicle owner in the region, you are obligated to purchase the minimum coverage for physical injury which is $15,000 for each person injured and $30,000 for every mishap. This injury insurance will pay for medical expenses, cost of lawsuit (if there’s any), ordeals, and lost earnings due to the accident.

Next, the state of Pennsylvania also demands that you take the least amount of $5,000 for property damage liability auto insurance. This will cover any damage to other people’s possessions like a car, house, home’s boundary marker, or any expenses if a legal case crops up because of the damage.

Another required coverage for the Pa auto insurance is the personal injury protection or abbreviated as PIP. You will see many levels of coverage for personal injury but you have to stick to the required lowest sum of $5,000.

The last item included in the mandatory coverage for the car insurance is the First Party Benefits-Medical

FiCentive, Inc. Signs Reseller Agreement with National Home Improvement Franchisor

Business Wire, May 04, 2010

SAN ANTONIO — FiCentive (OTCBB: PYDS), a provider of turn-key prepaid card solutions,
announced today that it has signed an exclusive reseller agreement with
a nationally recognized leader in the home improvement and energy
savings market.

Located in North Carolina, the company operates a national dealer
network of 150 dealers under various brands and is a leading
manufacturer and distributor of gutter protection, radiant barrier and
blown in cellulose insulation.

The program exclusively permits the individual dealers to adapt their
own localized brand to our customizable Corporate Incentive Card
program. The company will be the first large scale customer to adopt and
use our recently announced Print on Demand incentive card product.

The program concept is designed to incentivize prospective customers to
schedule and keep appointments, through providing them with a network
branded prepaid card initialized with an amount of dollars upon allowing
an in-home presentation to be made. If during the sales call it becomes
necessary, the salesperson can load additional amounts on the card as an
incentive to close the sale. The result is the customer has a card
loaded with funds that can be used for other discretionary purchases at
stores throughout the world.

FiCentive has been running a pilot program for several months and we
know from that program that sales have significantly improved from the
higher sales leads that have been generated and sales cancellations have
dropped to zero from the previous cancellation rate of 8 12%. Profit
margins have also increased since the dealer is required to offer fewer
paper discounts by substituting instant cash incentives on the card.

About FiCentive, Inc.

quickly and securely delivers customized prepaid card programs for

Savannah faces budget woes

0 Comments | St. Joseph News – Press, Jul 17, 2010 | by Marshall White

SAVANNAH, Mo. — Budget problems led to an unsuccessful attempt during a closed meeting earlier this week to remove Mike Fisher, Savannah’s city manager.

“I thought I had three votes, but I didn’t,” said Connie George, a city councilwoman.

The best recollection of that meeting is that it never came to a vote and nothing should have been disclosed, said Greg Gabler, a city councilman. People also need to remember that Mr

Potential for buyers to convert this church

0 Comments | Western Morning News, The, Jul 1, 2010

A Cornish Methodist church building with potential for conversion is being offered for sale.

Stags Development Land and Planning department has been instructed to market the Wadebridge property on behalf of The Methodist Church, Bodmin, Padstow and Wadebridge Circuit.

The church and outbuildings, built in 1848 on Egloshayle Road, total approximately 6,453sq ft on a site of about 0.29 of an acre.

There are four interlinked elements to the property, being the Wills Hall, the link building, the Sunday school building and the main chapel. The imposing main chapel has stone elevations with wood- framed windows under a pitched slate tiled roof.

It has a floor to eaves height of more than eight metres and a timber-panelled ceiling, part-exposed beams and full-height arched windows.

In addition there is a vestry, entrance foyer, disabled WC and stores with a balcony at first-floor level.

The adjoining Wills Hall and Sunday school building are also of stone construction under pitched slate roofs while the link building is of stone and brick construction under a flat roof.

Externally there is a small car park with spaces for up to ten vehicles, which is enclosed by a natural stone retaining wall incorporating iron railings.

There is direct pedestrian and vehicular access off Egloshayle Road into the car park.

The property is within the settlement boundary of Wadebridge and is in a Conservation Area. The agent reports that it may be suitable for a variety of alternative uses, subject to planning consent.

Stags have been instructed to market the freehold interest of the property and while it is offered with vacant possession upon completion, the Methodist Church will continue to be a presence in Wadebridge.

There are three basic units the body

July 29, 2010 - 2:31 am No Comments

There are three basic units the body uses for energy:

1. Fats

2. Proteins

3. Carbohydrates

All three can be converted to blood glucose. However, while fats and proteins are converted slowly, carbohydrates are converted quickly causing quick spikes in the body?s blood sugar levels. These spikes in blood sugar levels cause the pancreas to create and release insulin until the blood sugar level returns to normal.

Meanwhile, insulin, a hormone produced in the pancreas that lowers our blood?s glucose levels is released into the blood as soon as the body detects that blood sugar levels have risen above its optimal level.

Insulin is a very efficient hormone that runs the body?s fuel storage systems. If there is excess sugar or fat in the blood insulin will signal the body to store it in the body?s fat cells. Insulin also tells these cells not to release their stored fat, making that fat unavailable for use by the body as energy.

Since this stored fat cannot be released for use as energy, insulin very effectively prevents weight loss.
